How do I transition my dog from kibble to Sol Fed Ranch dog food?

Transitioning your dog from kibble to high-quality Sol Fed Ranch raw dog food  should be done gradually to ensure a smooth and healthy shift. Start by replacing 25% of your dog's current kibble with Sol Fed Ranch raw food, which features locally sourced, raw ingredients like grass-fed beef, beef bone and organ meats, as well as plant based  super foods. After one week, increase the raw food portion to 50%. This gradual process helps avoid digestive upset by giving your dog’s stomach time to adjust to the new, more nutrient-dense diet. Unfortunately a kibble focused changes the pH of a dog's stomach and it can take several weeks for your dog to reacclimatize to species appropriate nutrition. Sol Fed Ranch’s raw dog food is carefully formulated with a high organ content. While packed full of essential nutrients for your dog, if you transition too quickly it might cause diarrhea. During the transition, monitor your dog for any signs of discomfort or changes in stool quality, and adjust the pace if necessary.

Why is there ground beef bone in Sol Fed Ranch dog food?

Incorporating ground beef bone-in raw dog food is essential for providing a balanced and nutritionally complete diet for dogs. The inclusion of bone offers a natural source of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, which are vital for maintaining strong bones and teeth, supporting healthy muscle function, and promoting optimal bone density. Additionally, ground bones can help replicate the natural diet of a carnivore, which includes consuming not just the meat, but the bones and cartilage of prey animals. This combination provides trace minerals like magnesium and manganese, as well as collagen and other connective tissue nutrients that are crucial for joint health and overall mobility. The ground bone in our recipe does not replicate the benefits of giving your dog whole raw bones, such as can help reduce plaque and tartar buildup, contributing to cleaner teeth and fresher breath.
